Who we are

Alasines is an online plant nursery. We sell live plants, bulbs and seeds and ship them within the United States. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Alasines, and “you” means anyone who visits alasines.com or places an order with us.

What we collect and why

We only collect what we need to sell plants and ship them to you.

  • Order information. When you check out we collect your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number (if you provide one) and the contents of your order. We use it to process payment, pack and ship your order, handle refunds and replacements, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
  • Account information. If you create an account we store your username, email address, order history and shipping addresses so you can track orders and reorder more easily.
  • Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, ask a question on a product page, leave a review or email us, we keep your message and your contact details so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe we store your email address so we can send you new arrivals, growing tips and occasional offers. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
  • Technical and usage data. Like most websites we record standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) and use analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Payments

We never see or store your full card number. Card payments are processed by our payment providers, and the payment details you enter are sent directly to them. Those providers handle your data under their own privacy policies. We receive only the confirmation needed to fulfil your order, such as the last four digits of the card and whether the payment succeeded.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are needed for the shop to work — keeping your cart and session, remembering your cookie choice, and remembering your currency. We also use analytics cookies to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; blocking the essential ones may stop the cart and checkout from working.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:

  • payment processors, to take payment and issue refunds;
  • shipping carriers, so your order can be delivered;
  • our email and hosting providers, who store the site and send our emails.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Account details are kept while your account is open. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept for as long as they are useful for customer service, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to certain processing, or to ask us to stop using it for marketing. To make a request, email yaofeiyu923@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every message.

Children

Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to run the shop. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date below.
