Description

Bulk iris rhizomes are how you plant a driveway, a bank or a long border without spending a fortune. The rhizomes are lifted fresh, graded for size and packed by quantity, so you can cover real ground in a single afternoon and have it come back every year.

Why grow Iris Rhizomes Bulk

Iris are one of the few perennials that both look formal and tolerate being ignored, which is exactly what a landscaping scheme needs. They hold banks against erosion, laugh off drought once rooted, and multiply into drifts that need no replanting. Buying in bulk is the only economical way to plant them at that scale.

How to plant and care for it

Work in batches: loosen the top 20 cm, add grit on heavy ground, then set rhizomes 25 cm apart with the top just proud of the soil. Water the row in and then leave it alone for a fortnight. For a bank or slope, plant on the contour so rainwater soaks in rather than running off. Divide every three or four years to keep the clumps young and flowering.
