Pink Tulip Bulbs – Pink, Rose & Magenta Shades

Pink is the most useful colour in a spring garden because it sits between everything else. This collection runs from a pale blush that almost reads white, through rose pink, to a saturated magenta that holds its colour in dull weather.

Use blush and rose together for a soft, old-fashioned look, or put hot pink and magenta in front of dark foliage where the contrast does the work. Most of these are double and fringed forms, which means more petals per flower and a longer useful life in the vase — the fringed edges also hide the bruising that single tulips show after a few days indoors.

Plant 6–8 inches deep and 4–6 inches apart in full sun and free-draining soil. Doubles have heavier heads, so plant them a little closer together than you would a single tulip; they lean on each other in wind and rain. Hardy in USDA zones 3–8.
