White Tulip Bulbs – White, Ivory & Cream Shades

White tulips do the job nothing else can: they make a planting look deliberate. This collection runs from a pure white double with no trace of cream, through ivory, to a blush-white that shows the faintest pink on the outer petals, and a warm cream that keeps the scheme from feeling cold.

Use them along a path or in containers either side of a door, where a single colour reads as a decision rather than an accident. White also disappears against snow and late frost, so in cold gardens plant them against dark evergreen foliage. All four shades here are double or fringed forms with enough petals to hold up in rain.

Plant 6–8 inches deep and 4–6 inches apart in full sun or light shade, in soil that drains freely. Pale tulips scorch at the petal edges in hot, reflected light, so keep them away from south-facing walls. Hardy in USDA zones 3–8.
